Peonies, Papers, and Such

Sigh. Its Monday. I am at my computer supposedly supposed to be writing memos and reports and yada yada yada. But I'm not! I'm mooning over My Favorite Things (like Oprah, only I'm not yelling).

Paper Relics

First off, I want to give Hope a big SHOUT OUT because a) her stationary/products/calendars/cake toppers are amazing and b) because this sweet lady sent me the Darcy card after seeing how much I *love* her work. It is now on my bulletin board, still in the plastic. What a classy lady. I am tempted to move to Maryland and beg for a job.

PEONIES!!
I freaking love these flowers and will be having them at the wedding. Take a gander....

Vintage EVERYTHING

I wish I could have seven weddings because I keep having all these ideas and second guessing myself and then yesterday I woke up with the urge to sell my wedding dress on Craig's List and buy a new one. Can you believe that? URGH.

Spring Break will be here before we know it. I will (hopefully) have the week off from work. Or at least, half of the week. We are going to check on our venue since they are in the process of remodeling the Olivia Hotel. We booked it for our ceremony AND reception. I read on their site that the ballroom/banquet hall comes with the optional deck on the roof. Heck yeah, y'all. Can't wait to see it. I will actually take pictures of it. I promise.

Off to put on my shoes, warm up the car, and head out.

The Ill Bride

I must say, I do hate being sick. But being laid up in bed today did give me an opportunity to look at wedding stuff, which I LOVE! The above is a pretty ring I found at Jorgensen Studio from Etsy. I have included a link to their Etsy store under Accessories.

Alas, I am still in love with this fun wedding poster from another Etsy store, Unless Someone Like You.....

It has a guitar! And birds! I love birds! And guitars! I can't believe we're getting married in eighteen months. I can't believe I have been in bed all day......

Muah!

My New Favorite

Coral and Gardenia inspiration board from Snippet and Ink! (link at left of page) I really dig these colors and they are in close contention as my theme. Sigh. So much to do.

I'm Baacckkkk....

Did you miss me? I know the two of you who actually read my blog did! Well, its a new year, full of new beginnings and new outlooks. And! In eighteen months, I am getting married! How fun is that? I am now trying to settle on a concrete them for our wedding. Here are some of my recent favorite things:

Its the Darcy cake topper from Paper Relics. I ordered Justin an Antique Paper Bundle for Christmas and it was chock full of fun. I think I am going to order some more and make some things for the wedding with it. Also my favorite, the "Congratulations on Finding Your Darcy" card, which is still coming soon. Oh, Hope! Stop teasing me!

(Psst!! They also sent along a free bookmark AND postcard with my order! I am totally ordering from there again!! I adore Antique Paper Bundles!)

Second- thanks to VintageGlam Weddings' blog, I have a newfound obsession with George Barbier, the French illustrator. I would love to incorporate his drawings in our wedding somehow. I am stuck between shabby chic and art deco. Maybe I can do both!

My newest thought: instead of my maids wearing the exact same dress, I am thinking about giving them a color and letting them pick out their own dresses. I am also in love with the idea of a million white balloons. Okay, maybe not a million. I did once upon a time think of a prom theme, but decided that was not for me.

I am also excited to say that my future brother-in-law proposed to my new future sister-in-law the day before New Year's Eve! AND! Our friend Kevin proposed to our friend Tanya (yes, they are a couple) New Year's Day! SO now the whole band is getting married. Ah.

New year! New beginnings!
